Geolab Research Updated 03/01/2011

GEOLAB is international in its perspective. It undertakes an extensive multilingual research programme allocated in its research units. GEOLAB undertakes academic initiatives encouraging and facilitating the discourse on promoting academic excellence in its fields of research.

The publications' programme of GEOLAB is dealing with the complete spectrum of policy issues in the fields of governance, area studies, international relations, international economic relations, intercultural  policy issues, in form of books, monographs, occasional papers, working papers and shorter studies.

In its efforts to examine the various aspects of  the public debate in the issues of its research fields, GEOLAB is organizing "The Rosetta Lectures" -a series of annual lectures by an authority in its research-fields. Additionally GEOLAB seeks to broaden the public debate in its research fields by participating hosting or co-organising conferences, from which papers are due  to be published.

GEOLAB operates currently three Research Units.

Governance Unit (GU)
GU aims to produce knowledge, tools, and strategies that promote transparent, accountable, participatory, and effective governance. In this framework GU pursues interdisciplinary research on concrete governance problems.

Area Studies Unit (ASU)
ASU studies program focuses on current regional issues aiming to contribute to a continuous tracking and analysis of  developments which are of outmost importance for Greek and EU-policy makers.
